WE BELIEVE

  • in God and proclaim truth about God as we understand; all seekers of God and truth are welcome;  
  • we are called to help all people, even those with different understandings about who God is;  
  • we and all of nature and earth were created by God who cares deeply about it all;
  • humankind has a special place in God’s creation, made in God’s image for deeper relationship;  
  • we are required by God to love and help all people of every faith and worldview, to proclaim God’s goodness and love for all mankind—whether agnostic, atheistic or spiritual religious;
  • we are called to minister to and protect those in need such as the hungry, the sick, the poor, the homeless, the indebted, the enslaved, the vulnerable and all others who are unfairly prevented from exercising their inalienable God-given rights;  
  • in personal growth, development and responsibility and that the garden metaphor helps inspire us all toward helping ourselves and others to reach our life goals and ultimate destinies;  
  • we are members of the human family and are called to respect, honor, serve and support each other as we walk through life with integrity—consistent with our beliefs both in public and private;  
  • as a non-partisan family, we can have many different ideas but conduct civil and respectful debate among our members whose dignity we promise to uphold as we seek the truth;
  • we are called to respect and care for our God-given physical bodies which were created to enjoy fitness and health which includes care about exercise and what nutrition & food we take in;
  • we are called into a society that honors and protects free speech, free assembly, free exercise of religion, freedom to worship, and free political thought; and we are called to engage and oppose any forces that may threaten these ideals;
  • in societal justice, leadership accountability to the people, and the ideals expressed in the Declaration of Independence, universal Bill of Rights, and state constitutions everywhere that are constructed by and for the people;
  • we are called to train, develop and support current and future leaders in our communities and nations in supporting the values and societal governing structures sown into our beliefs;
  • our actions chiefly demonstrate our beliefs throughout the world;
  • while our actions and beliefs build on Judeo-Christian ideals, most of our principals are also found in other moralistic faiths.
